Weesperzijde sits in Amsterdam's eastern city, defined by a mix of characterful canal houses and modernist architectural apartment blocks.
This apartment occupies an upper floor of a modernist building defined by clean lines and modular forms, looking inward over a green courtyard, calm and removed from the active street below.
Studio P3's approach was to take the building's rectilinear forms as the design foundation, introducing contemporary materials and elements that enhance rather than compete with what was already there.
